Lamb Sales

In some years, FSF is in a position to be able to offer lamb sales from our Finnsheep flock. For buyers, the benefit of our limited flock capacity is that we are able to offer high quality breeding stock that a larger program might retain. We stand behind the health and quality of all our animals and believe that sale lambs carry our name and reputation into the community. We are committed to excellence and transparency and seek long-term, trusting partnership with lamb sale clients establishing or improving their own Finn flocks.​

What to Expect from our Lambs:

• All of our lambs are healthy, sound individuals that were bred, born and raised on our property by our own hands

• All of our lambs are dam-raised. We do not sell or use bottle lambs for breeding.

• All lambs will receive the complete CDT series and, if applicable, have recovered from wethering before leaving

• All lambs will have an identifying ear tag

• We will not register ewe lambs that are pet/fiber quality

• Breeding quality lambs and wethers will have registration pending at the time of sale

• Additional vaccinations, health certificates or other services are at the expense of the buyer

• All lambs are trained to electronet

• All lambs require a $100 deposit to hold

• If you declined registration at the time of sale, that lamb will not be registration eligible in the future

What is a pet/fiber quality lamb? Why would I want one?

These are lambs that are completely sound and healthy, but do not meet our standards as breeding stock. Often, they are smaller in size or required additional support/supplementation as young lambs. While we do not recommend them as breeding animals, they are happy, healthy, sweet little lambs with a fiber/fleece quality as good as our breeding stock. Purchasing a fiber/pet lamb is an opportunity to receive a high quality fiber animal at a reduced cost for those who are not focused on breeding potential.
