About Us

Fleeting Souls Fiber

Fleeting Souls Fiber is a small flock fiber operation in Seacoast NH. We raise Finn Sheep for fine wool products, breeding stock and meat. We seek to use our flock to enrich the pastures and soils that feed them using rotational grazing methods. We also seek to use and celebrate all parts of the animal and to reduce waste as much as possible.

We produce high quality, small batch farm yarns made exclusively from the wool of our own registered Finn sheep. Every yarn product release is different and reflects the animals, conditions and care that went into producing it. Get what you need, when it's available, because there will never be another run just like it!

Our sheepskins are hand prepared from our lamb flock and come in a dazzling array of patterns, colors and pile lengths. Long pile fleeces are beautiful and luxurious decorative pieces and furniture accents, while short pile fleeces make stunning heirloom baby gifts that will last a lifetime.

Our Story

Jill has had an off again, on again relationship with fiber and knitting since college. While pregnant with her oldest son, she rediscovered her love and a passion was born. She spent many months knitting, investigating breeds and dreaming about a future flock of her own. This connection between children, family, fertility and knitting would contiue in many unexpected ways.

In 2021, the family moved to a new home where raising sheep would be possible. Through the grief of multiple miscarriages, Fleeting Souls Fiber came into reality. Jill believes that we are all just 'fleeting souls' on this earth and that we must do everything we can to find joy in the time that we are here and to honor the lives of the animals we care for.

Today, we celebrate and raise our small flock of Finn sheep for multiple purposes, including fine wool products.
