Fiber from our home, to yours

Our Products

Fleeting Souls Fiber started, and remains primarily, a family fiber flock. That means we are our own biggest customer! Because we produce fiber products for our own personal use, you can be assured that we know our yarns and other products extremely well and are always focused on creating the highest quality end result. We are happy to tell you about our work, tour the farm with you and help you make choices about which products might best fit your needs.

FSF specializes in high quality, small batch farm yarns from our registered Finn Sheep flock. Our yarns are locally processed and next to skin soft for all your fiber needs. We make yarn processing decisions based on the unique fleeces in front of us-- determining the best end product for each shearing. This means that we do not have 'standard' yarn. Each yarn batch is unique- so get them while they last and be sure to purchase enough for your project!

Our sheepskins are hand cured here at our farm and bark tan processed by Driftless Tannery in Argyle, WI. They are beautifully preserved without the use of harsh chemicals or heavy metals. Our sheepskins make stunning accent pieces and unique heirloom baby gifts.

In addition to yarns, roving and sheepskins, FSF produces a small quantity of wool bedding each year. Our bedding is made from wool that is clean and serviceable, but not of yarn quality. This is a reflection of our commitment to eliminate wool waste and it ensures that only the highest quality fiber is processed into yarns. Clean 'waste wool' is still perfectly good and wonderfully insulating - making cozy but feather light bedding!

FSF has a commitment to eliminating waste wool. Fiber that does not make the grade for yarn products becomes bedding or sustainable wool pellets for indoor and outdoor gardeners. All wool has a purpose!

Celebrating our home and our animals

Fleeting Souls Fiber began in 2021 with a small flock of foundation Finn ewes. We are dedicated to the Finn sheep breed for their versatility, the soft handle of their fiber, color variety and their winning temperament. Today, we raise our flock of Finn sheep in celebration of this wonderful breed. We produce fine wool products, offer lambs for sale as breeding stock and retain lambs for our own breeding and our family's personal consumption. We strive to maintain high quality flock and pasture health, creating exceptional small batch products through our efforts and love of our animals and our land.
